Wedding and Civil Union Scheduling Information

Champaign County Circuit Court judges perform marriage ceremonies at the Champaign County Courthouse Monday through Friday (except county holidays), by appointment only.

  • Before you can get married at the courthouse, you must have a valid marriage license.

    If you can’t make your appointment, please cancel online or call as soon as possible.

  • On the day of your ceremony, you must check-in at 11:30 a.m. and bring the following:

    - Your valid marriage license (see #1 above)
    - $10.00 cash only
    - Photo ID for each person getting married.

    Check-in is in Room 327 on the 3rd floor of the courthouse.

Cell phones are allowed in the courthouse. They can be used to record your ceremony, but must remain silenced while in the building.
You may bring as many guests as you’d like, but everyone in your party must pass through a metal detector before entering the courthouse. All bags and packages must pass through an X-ray machine.
